Ever brought anything from abroad?

Ive seen a few things i like but there on ebay and are in japan. And its a private sale not a shop!

Has anybody brought things from there before? Is it to much hassle or should i just go for it?

make sure the seller has a good feedback , then it should be ok , oh and pay for the item with yr credit card for protection :)

Ebay is a gamble under any circumstances, so unless you are looking for a specific item you cannot source in the UK then I would say leave well alone. I have previously purchased a pair of night vision goggles from China through an eBay shop sold as new - the price was good and they were new, but they were also obviously seconds with contamination on the inside of the lens. I've had hassle from UK sellers also so rarely use eBay now but at least you can have a go at getting a refund/replacement.
I would and have bought online from abroad, just not from Asia and not on eBay (once bitten and all that). The sad fact is eBay and Asia are full of con-merchants.

Yes, I've bought many times off Japanese sellers off ebay with no problem at all. Main thing is just make sure the person is a power seller or has high/good feedback.
Also, beware of customs charges (I had to pay £45 for an item that cost £110!!). But most buyers I buy off now tend to write "gift" ;)

Ebay bits from Usa,Hon Kong and various other countries..
Just make sure the feedback is good or a Trusted seller, and as mentioned although most people will put "present" on the item customs can still charge you via the post office,I 've only had to pay once out of about 15 receipts..oh...and a strange rash from bought back fromSpain.
