Couple of shots from scotland

Couple of my favourite shots i snapped while in bonny scotland. house is going up for sale as i have found where i really want to live and work. cracking roads and life is so much more relaxed. i'm going to be a christmas tree farmer. now to stop dreaming and back to the real world. :lol1:

I know the Scots are a bit behind the times, but don't they have colour photo's, or are they too tight to pay for them? :D

it's a very sobbering place to be.

would love to live up that way. a week was not nearly long enough. will have to wait till next year to go back though.

if i was to move up there it would have to be the highlands. we went over to inverallochy on the friday for a wedding on saturday and didn't feel as "at home" as around the fort augustus area.

slipstream_uk 02 June 2008 05:58 PM

fort augustus middle of nowhere, good points inverness is close, only 1 police car and 2 part time coppers. when you get a chance, take the back road to inverness it starts at fort augustus. you will be on the other side of loch ness. you want scenery you got it on that road, some of the best in the highlands

i must have seen the same car over and over then :lol1:

cracking roads and you don't need to be going fast to enjoy them. just string the bends together properly and it's a cracking place to drive.

the only thing we were thinking though was what we would do for an income. cafe was the main thought. the farming thing was a long shot.

I love the Scottish highlands, travelled around loch ness and loch lomond to name a couple places and it really is something else, lovely little pub on the shores of Loch Ness;)

Been a few years since I went to Scotland, but the last time, I went round Fort William, then to Loch Ness, then up to Inverness, then to Wick and John O'Groats, right along the top to Durness (side trip to the Cape Wrath Lighthouse), down to Ullapool and then across to Perth and eventually back down to England... Hell of a long trip, but great countryside and the people were terrific!

Wonder how fuel I would use in the Scoob doing that trip again?

I went on a trip to Scotland a couple of years ago and loved it. We stayed on the banks of Loch Lomond at Inversnaid and visited Fort William, Stirling and a few other places in the area. Loved it and so did the Scoob. It was awesome driving on the lanes! :notworthy It really is worth taking the scoob up there, I would definitely take it again if we go....which we hope to sometime in the future :thumb:

This is where we stayed at Inversnaid:
