Advice needed so I can buy products!

I'm about to detail the mrs' Touareg and have found out it has plastic headlight covers and a plastic chrome (could be metal) plate on the rear bumper and they both need correction so..

What do I use on the Plastic headlights?

What do I use on the rear bumper chrome type trim?

Will the following products be ok on the cars paint or will I need the newer Menzerna products for the tougher german paint? It only has light swirling

Power Gloss
Final Polish II
Finishing Touch Glaze

Thanks.

When you say it has plastic headlight covers, do you mean a thin plastic film or?...

For the rear plate, is it on the top of the bumper? If it's what i'm thinking of then i would use a chemical cleaner like Jeffs Werkstatt Prime Strong. This will remove any oxidization and bring it back to life, plus it will leave a nice durable coat of protection.

Regarding the light swirls, it depends on what your interpretation of "light" is as it may be different to mine. Are you working by machine mate? I would start with FP II and see if that does the job but if not then i would recommend the likes of Menzerna IP 3.02 as the Power Gloss is a bit overkill even on the VAG paint in all honesty...

Hope that helps?

Pictures of where correction is needed on the boot trim:

and my definition of light swirling you can just see at the bottom of the picture:

My definition of very heavy swirling for comparison.

I'll be using a PC 7424 and will give FPII a go, or I may get the intensive or 3.02 (which is best?)

The headlights as in the standard ones are plastic and not glass iyswim

So it still stands as in what products do I need to correct the headlights and bumper trim?

P.S. we definatly needed Power Gloss on that golf!!
