Thinking about putting a video camera up on a tripod in the car on the trackday (phew).

Any tips and tricks or a web site?

Dog Blow
I saw something about this recently.....trouble is I can't remember where.....hey you should have it installed permanently for those pedestrian crossing "moments" http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Cem,

This is only slightly useful but at the Brands track day late Oct/Early Nov, there was a guy with a Silver or White EVO VI who posted some great footage to the BBS. I can't find the post now but if you know who he is then he should be able to help you out as he was obviously using some sort of quality mounts inside the car.

Cheers,

Matt.

Matt,

I believe that may have been Steve Prockter

Can someone please tell me where I can purchase one of these Camcorder holders that stick to the front windscreen. Tony Quinn had one with him when we went to the Ring and I would love to get one before Dono or even Oulton.

Cheers

Harj...

Cem, Stef, can I join in the 'how am I going to keep this stable' session on Saturday morning?

I'll be trying to get some incar footage too...

You can borrow mine. "SHE" is quite expensive though........

Various options... i wasw thinking about a cross piece between two front seats with suitable mounting screw to attach camera with.

Cem,
I may be able to borrow a small, lightweight tripod from work. I'll let you know this evening.
Alex.
(I'll also be bringing the DV cam with me on Sat).

Ace news alex, let me know.
Otherwise, I shall see you Stef,

I use a mountain of tie clips but would like to know more about an attachment to the windscreen.

Blow Dog 11 January 2001 09:35 PM

Ditto that.

I'll be bringing my Camcorder, a tripod, a handful of tie wraps and a bag full of tapes. I've taken some footage before by mounting the camera to the back seat with the lap belt and tie wraps round the things that hold the rear seat in.

If anyone want's to borrow the camcorder (as long as you re-imburse me for the tape) you are welcome to take some track footage. Takes about 10 mins to set up. I'm not booked on track so it'll be free all day (till the battery runs out anyhow)

Gary
