Differences between UK MY08 STi and JDM Version

Does anyone have some sort of technical comparision between the two.

Am I right in saying it's just the change of engines, there's no suspension, brakes etc changes?

engine is a 2.0 in the jdm the uk has a 2.5ltr engine.
and before a certain member pipes up it has a quick rack fitted to the jdm and not to the uk

JDM has got some Aluminium Body Parts , I think its the Roof,Fenders and Hatch.

The engines are totally different, the JDM car is a twin scroll where as the uk is a single scroll, you really need to drive one to appreciate it ;) but given the option, the JDM would be my preferred choice :D

Cast unequal headers and stainless equal headers
Heated heated folding mirrors (UK aren't i don't think EU's are but not 100% on that)

I'd always assumed the emissions were easier to keep low on a 2.5 lower state of tune engine than the 2.0 jdm version but that doesn't appear to be the case, I think someone has said Litchfields had got it lower? And then I thought the extra torque of the 2.5 would offset the higher rev's but the numbers don't particularly stack up and the 2.0 has a higher torque figure (although slightly higher up the rpm range so perhaps the 2.5 is a little more grunty low down?) so I can only assume that to mass produce the 2.0 for everywhere as well as the local JDM market would be too costly? To have the turbo motor rev to 8000 rpm must mean some higher quality internals? and therefore would perhaps bump up the costs for us? Not sure. It does seem harsh not to at least give us the option of the JDM specification. You don't see Mitsubishi building two versions of the same thing, that in itself must be costly.

Having got my 2.5 run-in now it's very easy to hit the rev limiter with it, some is me not being used to it I'm sure but a few extra rev's would be nice, it still seems to be offering me good acceleration right to the limit.

And assuming the quicker rack add's some more weight to the steering I think that would be a nice to have although to be honest when I'm pushing the car now I'm not really noticing the light weight steering, I find it feels really really light when manoevering or town speed driving... I'm probably just holding on in amazement at any higher speeds.

My reason for asking was the recent autocar test where the UK STi loses out badly to the Evo X.

Did the JDM car not wipe the floor with the Evo X at Tsubuka?

Surely the engine and quicker steering rack aren't responsible for such a dramatic change of fortune?
