Engine Bling Project

Just spent the last 2 days doing this! My back hurts, my legs hurt and my fingers are raw, but wow does it look better. Camera is not great, much better in the flesh.

Just got to get into a few corners to remove the last bits of grime, fit my earthing kit and a few extra dress up bolts.

I reckon I've done well for a first attempt.

Very nice.
What did you do to the two bolts holding the rad clamps on?

Squadron-Leader 18 May 2008 09:54 AM

Joey Turbo

I used...

2 M6 x 1.0mm thread anodised nuts with 2 washers to suit the nuts in red. All from...

Welcome To Braded Steel / Aerotek Ltd.

I found with the OEM clamp installed and trying to put the cover over the top, it would not fit correctly. I've just used the cover as the clamp in the end and tightened the nuts down as much as possible. The battery moves a tad, but I don’t think it's going to come free.

awesome

where'd ya get ya zero sports intake pipe matey?

Squadron-Leader 18 May 2008 10:51 AM

Thanks for the comments guys :D

I got a second hand intake pipe from a mate for £40 and changed the blue coupling hoses for red SFS Performance ones.

They do come up for sale every so often on here, or do a Google search for 'zero sports intake' and you'll find plenty of suppliers. New they're between £55 and £65.

If you want to change the coupler colour then you'll be looking at £5 to £10 a coupler. One word of warning... on the newage the coupler to the air box side has an inside diameter of 76mm, where as the other side has an inside diameter of 68mm.

From me :D

..originally came from Japanparts.com, but Revolution amongst other tuners now stock them I believe, also PowerStation can get them in for you.

I had same idea as blue didnt go with my red manifolds and samcos etc, but had a change of plans and it looks so much better on J's.
