Ha Ha .... look at the post numbers .... 'certain' posts removed

Why doesn't the system re-number to keep the order sequential?

pimmo2000 20 May 2008 07:56 PM

How very refreshing to see all this. I was very disappointed when I was so rudely interrupted because I had a little point that I was hoping you might clear up for me!

I was talking about the Doppler effect on those metronomes which synchronised themselves which you told us about. You quite rightly said that the Doppler effect would only occur as you walked past them. We are all well used to "Relativity" of course, none more than you in your job!. I was wondering if the metronomes would appear to slow down, all still in synchronicity of course, as one walked away from them?

Les :)

Hiya Les

OR if you could travel away from the Earth whilst looking back to Earth on a Spaceship at twice the speed of light ......... would life on Earth go backwards? and hence would you be travelling back in time?

If you could travel long enough away faster than light, with a very powerful telescope you would begin to see the beginning of the Earth ... travel further and you would see time before Earth - would you then be looking at the face of God?

Or would you only see the disappearing posts re-appear? :lol1:
