lol I have to say Facebook is a vast improvement on the over abused myspace. And the first thing I have ever been able to find people on without an email address for them lol.
Caught up with about half my old tutor class from school in 85-89 so far lol. There is of course the usual rubbish on there, i.e applications, but as a whole its really good. Even caught up with the guy I knew since playschool at 2-3 yrs old, and went primary school with :D |
Facebook is great for keeping in touch when you can't be bothereed writing a text message, other than a couple of applications thats all I use it for.

The idea as a whole, keeping in touch with people, finding old school mates etc, suits me just fine. All the buy a round of drinks, vampire tests etc..... :wonder: |
Snaz, I meant the same thing, I'll write a message generally to people I dont speak to on a regualr basis etc, its nice that you can recieve messages and reply when you want, whereas a txt you are expected to reply straight away (otherwise you forget anyway) Ive accumalated a friends list from school that I had to think for 10 minutes who the fek is that (from school) lol

if only you guys knew the truth about Facebook instead of following the the rest of the sheep. Hint: try and find the chain of ownership and you will be half way there! ;)

I dont put any info on there that I dont use elsewhere on the net, so if there is something terrible about it, im pretty sure its not gonna affect me. At the end of the day ALL big things turn into financial gain in one way or another, so there are no suprises there. |

For sad loser's with no real friends to go out with. :nono: Unlike spending half your working day posting on Scoobynet. That's for cool people, just like me. ;) |

Never been on it myself. Or the other one, what ever it's called.

What's a Faysbuk? Sad way of spending your time, sat in an armchair, typing messages to people you've never met, hoping that they approve or are appreciative of your efforts, and not be mean spirited or make derogatory comments at your expense.........
DOH! |
:smug:

I feckin hate Fecebook applications. I think peoples intelligence is directly inversely related to how many apps they have on there.
|
YAY! I must be infinitely intelligent, as I have an infinitely small number of Facebook applications, ie zero.:luxhello:
|
I still fail to see the point in facebook. Getting back in touch with people you've lost contact with. Personally, those I don't speak to are usually for a good reason.
Most of my friends are on it. Neighbours too. What happened to the lost art of conversation (phone, or shock of all shocks, face to face!!) Load of sh1te IMO. Dan |
lol staying in touch with people you lost touch with in the 80's is a bit different.
When I left school, none of my mates had mobiles, email addresses, and I was in no position to go and see all 25 of them on a weekly basis. Staying in touch these days is far easier. Sadly once you get to the age where you wish you had stayed in touch, its nigh on impossible. I guess I for an example am reaching the stage where I wanna look back, catch up and laugh about the terrible times at school. Using it to stay in touch with current friends however is a little different. However it is still a great tool for letting your friends know what you have been up to etc :) Brilliant common place to arrange nights out and keep everyone in the loop, keep people informed on important personal issues etc. But as you say, some tend to use it for their entire life, which is a little extreme for me. |
