"We are getting on the with job in hand" means "I can't give you an answer to that question that won't drop me even further in the ****"
Another version is "People are concerned about the economy, shcools hospitals, not [insert latest **** up here]" |
lol spot on everyone, and there was me thinking I was the only one who had noticed he didnt have answers.
Just after I posted this, one of the reporters on Sky News joked about it too. Pathetic. The other day he was asked 3 totally seperate questions about Burma, and all 3 times he reworded the same statement. I think this is one of the things I like about Boris. He might fumble some answers, but at least he is trying to say something from his own mind, and not the lines he has been given to say. Safe lines. lol @ stilover lol. Brown also manages to be the first PM in 150 years not to be recreated in wax. Saying that I guess its only fair to say he is only the second one to be put to the public on the internet. Their policy is to have every "elected" PM.... oh well. No place for him then lol |

I think it was just used to point out he knew who I was talking about, and no offence was intended towards the Scot's.
