New 9x18 Advan RS wheels

Just a few pictures of the new wheels I got for the STI. Wheel size is 9x18 as per title with a 45mm offset. Tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1 225 x 40 x 18.

My favourite wheels - I hate you..

Where from / how much ?

225 Tyres look a bit stretched though on 9" ?

frayz 14 May 2008 10:48 PM

Wheels look awesome but 225s are way too skinny for em. Put some propper rubber on there :)

daddyscoob 14 May 2008 10:52 PM

have to agree about the rubber. You have that euro VW Golf look with the stretched rubber :nono:

Velocity Factor Store , Florida, Bought them on the 6th may delivered to n.Ireland by the 13th . As for the price just shy of £1400 delivered:)
What size of tyre would be better for a 9inch rim 235 ? had the set of 225 sitting about so just put them on to see what the wheels looked like on the car.

Good choice. Always loved those Advans. Nice to see something different on here.

scooby222 15 May 2008 12:38 AM

nice motor and nice wheels!
i stuck with 225/40/18s on my rays which are 8.5" as i was concerned about tramlining and handling issues if i went wider and am quite liking the stretched rubber look (oo er)
only thing is youve got to be soooo careful parking- i managed 2 weeks before i touched a kerb :brickwall
what suspension are you running, looks a bit lower than mine on prodrive springs

Its running Tein adjustable coilovers with EDFC AFAIK, looks stunning in the flesh, pics make the tyres seem overstretched, but they really just look moody and wide.....LOVE IT !

frayz 15 May 2008 05:56 AM

245s at least on 9" rims bud

Jam Performance 15 May 2008 06:47 AM

Neil.. 15 May 2008 04:36 PM

Awesome wheels, and I have 255's on my 9" rims...

rb5 286 16 May 2008 01:28 PM

Lovely looking wheel - i would be a bit worried about that width tyre on the 9" rim, you can see the tyre is very stretched in some of those pics, would have gone for a 235 minimum.

I'm running 235's on my 8.5 x 18's

Am I right in thinking this wheel is generally for the EVo's?

I have seen a few pics of these wheels on evo s seem to be popular in the u.s on the scoobys ,as for the tyres i had them in the garage so tried them on out of curiosity ,personally i like them but maybe try a 235 tyre to see what it looks like.Im no expert and will gladly listen to the advice given by you guys:) Thanks for the positive advive and comments:notworthy

mattwrxCS 16 May 2008 07:51 PM

Best to run 255/35r18 on a 9x18 rim ;)

Scoobyslammed 16 May 2008 09:26 PM

Ithink they look perfect... needs a de-tango up fornt now...

adam knight 16 May 2008 11:18 PM

Boyakasha 17 May 2008 09:58 PM

Wheels look great, do they stick out past the arches or is it just the way the pictures were taken?

Cheers for the comment ,but cant lower it any more because of a steep incline in my driveway ,but i have to agree with you would like it a bit lower. Maybe i should move house now there's a thought lol :)
