how sharp are your goodspeed 335mm kits?

I have got this set up on my classis with the d2500? pads.

they have been good, but will never set the world on fire.

but the other day my m8 drove my car (he has a classic with standard 4 pots) and he thought my brakes were bad, and he said you had to press them quite hard to get anything out of them. is is using mintex xtreme pads with grooved and drilled dics.

so my question is, should i get some new pads for mine?

am running dot5 fulid, goodridge lines, calipers been refurbed at godspeed.

the only think i can think of, is that i had my dics the wrong way round, so aster speaking to ian at GS i changed them over, but forgot about swaping the pads with the dics. this was around 500 miles ago.

what would you brake gods recomend?

thanks
ian

Hi Ian
How old are the pads you have ? are they worn , I find that the DS2500 pads do feel a bit wooden , how hard do you drive the car , do you do track days.
Go out and give them some real stick and see what they are like then , maybe they have just glazed over.
Let me know how you get on , if not try some different pads.
You should have swaped the pads when you changed the discs side to side , maybe take them out and flat them off by rubbing them on emery cloth on a flat surface.
Cheers Ian

mostof my driving is to the shops and back, no track days, still have a fair amount of life left in them.

will go out later and give them some hard braking.

just out of intrest, can you pm me a price of the pads you would recomend for day to day driving with good bits, and a set of pads for the rear, standard size version 6 sti classic please

thanks
ian

Ok let me know how you get on , it might be better for your style of driving to fit a softer pad in when they need changing
Cheers Ian
