I'm not 'claiming' anything, it's just a fact, they are our government

And yes of course I voted

I still don't understand your point

Odds on 10 May 2008 12:04 AM

Hmm, I can see this getting drawn out.

So your voted in Goverment are at fault, or the Goverment you voted against are?

Why does it matter, they are our government and they are at fault

No.

You can't explain your post, so are you?

I'm not ranting, I'm just utterly bemused by your posts

I can only conclude that you are deliberately looking for an arguement where there isn't one

Whata bizzarre chap

warrenm2 10 May 2008 02:07 AM

This is what you get when you put socialists in charge, incompetency and mediocrity. Socialism is all about the abolition of meritocracy. An epidural in the arm FFS!!! That person should be taken out all beaten about the head. Their idiocy KILLED SOMEONE. I'd put good money on the background of the person who administered that injection....... People are dying to meet some politically driven target - whether it be number of graduates or whatever. When will this madness stop?

Jeez! What the hell is it with some people and the Daily Mail??? I think you'll find that the DM finds the govs. 'sticking to the rules' in this case just as disgraceful.

When it comes to immigration it seems they always miss the mark by a country mile, Ill be first to admit I do not particuarly like this country filled with asylum seekers, what I appreciate and expect from someone wanting to come and live here though, is to work hard and pay taxes, and blend in with our community, if they do those small things, I cannot fault them....it always seems to be the genuine cases that get the boot.

WHAT VIEW??

chocolate_o_brian 10 May 2008 10:06 AM

possibly a can of worms here, but may i ask what the outcome may have been under two different circumstances...

1. the gentleman and his family were from an eu country, such as poland etc.

2. the gentleman and his family were from a non eu country but still a european one.

either way it is horrendous to think that as this poor sh!ts mrs was killed by some inept pillock, HE has to now LEAVE due to someone elses negligence.

i hope the arsehole who made this decision after nearly 4 years of fighting, court cases etc, has their wife and children killed in a similar way. oh and then deported too:razz:

all i have to say on the matter as im finding it quite upsetting and frankly astounding.:(

It is very smelly for the government to welcome them in with open arms because she has a skill we need and then turf him out when she dies :cuckoo:
Where will she be buried - if it's in blighty, can he come and visit the grave? Will our government pay for his flights? Of course not.... Mental... Stoopid labour scum balls

Bram 10 May 2008 06:02 PM

Lets be factual here, the child was sent back by the father to brought up in his country of origin.

Under the legislation the child had not stayed in this country long enough, so the father now becomes economic migrant. Do not confuse the two issues of the dreadful occurence of the death of the mother and the grounds why the husband can remain when his child no longer resides in this country.

Prasius 10 May 2008 06:20 PM

Its terrible the mother died - but the family were only here because of her. As that reason is now no longer valid, they no longer have a valid reason to remain in the country. Its harsh, but they are the rules. If you don't like that - well you have to ask why the rules allow individuals who destroy their passports in transit to the UK to be given entry to the UK in order to simply vanish - Ask any immigration officer if you want confirmation of how common this is.

The system utterly fails those with a real case for asylum, penalises those who do everything the Immigration service asks (such as this man), and rewards those who lie and cheat. As with much in this country at the moment - the rules and laws protect the guilty, not the innocent and deserving. Thats the truly disgusting and shameful thing.

Get a grip man, stop blaming the Daily Mail for everything. :Whatever_ This is exactly the sort of story the Daily Mail run, BECAUSE, they don't want people like this deported.

Perhaps if you actually read the Daily Mail, rather than just slag it off, you would understand. :lol1:
