6 speed conversion question

When using a 5spd clutch and flywheel in a 6 speed box do you have to use the 6spd clutch release bearing and fork or the 5 spd?

Also would 5spd my99 front driveshafts fit straight into a uk 6spd box?

Cheers

you can retain and use all your 5 speed stuff, clutch and flywheel, including the release bearing and fork, + the slave cylnder.

5 speed driveshafts fit over the 6 speed box stubs as normal.

All you need for the conversion is a uk 6 speed box. gear linkage, an auto prop (as its shorter and is a perfect fit), and a matching uk rear diff 3:54.

only other job is that you will have to tap the bottom starter motor hole in the box, as so you can use a bolt to secure.

..So long as you have a pre 2004 6 speed box, which has stub axles.

The later boxes have a different inner CV which pushes into the box (like most other cars)
