I have been semi put off buying a Scooby due to the servicing costs, I have enough money to buy & insure 1, but shat myself when I fould out that an Oil & Filter @ the main dealer cost a £100, & around £400 - £500 for a full service, Ouch.

Also they have to be serviced every 7.5K what does this service include??? basiclly I want to get 1 and have sussed that the major services are 30, 60 & 90 (is this correct?) is there any other services that will cost lots of money?? then I can get an idea of what milage car to choose.

Does anyone use any independant garages in the S.East(Kent), how much cheaper R they, Do they do a good job or would it B safer to use a main dealer & pay those ridiculous prices???

I want to buy 1 with the intention of keeping it for a year, I only do about 12- 15K a year so possibly 2 services will B required, what other cash related problems may I get, apart from juice.

I have a MY94 WRX Wagon, therefore I cannot use a subaru main dealer, I checked out the local indy scene before taking the plunge and I use GDA Sportscar Imports in crowborough, as does James Bushell, who recommended GDA to me. It's run by Graham Darragh who is a top bloke and knows his stuff, he mainly deals in Sunny Pulsar GTiR's but he does also do scoobies, and other jap cars.

I would suggest that if GDA are close enough for you then give them a ring/email.

Hi

AS Marcus says, GDA is the way! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Well I think so anyway. I have a WRX which i bought from Graham about a year and a half ago!

Normal service is about £100, and charges £30 Per Hour for anything (which is a lot cheaper than your main dealer!). All the work I have had done has been first class.

Why not give him a call on 01892 664212
