Goodbye Scoob

Well that's it then.

Since August 1996 we have had at least one and sometimes two Scoobs in our household, but today finally we are Scoobless for the first time in nearly 12 years.

In all had 5, 4 classics all fantastic and 1 new age which was not so fantastic. Although all the classics were bombproof and wonderful to own and drive the 2003 STI was problematic from the start. After paying out £5K on maintenance and repairs in just the last 12 months and with the escalating price of fuel and general apathy from the dealer network enough was finally and yesterday she was traded for a CTR.

Maybe one day if I can find an immaculate P1 or RB5 I will come back, but for now my Scoob days are done. :(

I used to own a CTR (EP3) not the new FN2 which is utter tail, very nice cars though, a fantastic all rounder although not a patch on my current Scoob.

Sounds like you have had a bad experience with your newage, one of a very small minority mind.

Yes I know I am in a thankfully small minority, but here is the thread I posted a while back:

Who has the most unreliable Scoob?

The heater matrix wasn't cheap and add to that rear suspension mounting point breaking and coolant top hose disintegrating since that was written and you have to see why it had to go.

I am just sorry for the poor sod that buys it which was why I traded it and didn't even try and sell it privately. I couldn't do it to someone.
