Fusion Front Speakers - advice please.
Hello fellow Scoobie,
I've just bought the following speakers (16.5 cm) for £37 for a Blobeye and need some advice:- ENCM65 - Car Audio/Stereo - Car Audio/Stereo Accessories - Fusion - Fusion Car Audio 6.5" Component Speaker System 240 Watts Max The kit contains the main speakers plus tweeters and 2 cross-overs. My questions are as follows:- 1. Can't be bothered to make MDF adaptors so where can I buy the Corsa ones (a model number would be great :D ) and will they fit 16.5 cm speakers? 2. Will I need to fit the cross-overs as well or can I just fit the speakers and tweeters to the existing wiring? I'm on a roll at the moment after fitting a rear spoiler, front lip spoiler, stickers and boost gauge so any help would be much appreciated :notworthy |
Corsa Adaptors will only fit 13cm speakers, you will have to fit crossovers ( i fitted them in the door on the underside of my door arm rest). Presuming you have component speakers.

Yup, it's MDF time.
The original tweeters had a thingy (technical term) to only allow high frequencies past, your new ones don't and therefore require the crossovers. |
Ok MDF it is then :norty:
I assume I just need to find the Live & Earth wire from the existing wiring and then that goes into the Input of the cross-overs, then use the wiring for the new speakers to connect the new main speaker and tweeter. |

Indeed they are the same set of speakers which I bought after reading your thread :notworthy
I ordered them via the Ripspeed website and paid £37 for collection at Halfords who were selling them for £50 :luxhello: Any advice you can give me on fitting these is much appreciated. Did you fit the cross-overs on the door underneath the arm-rest? I've bought some sound deadening but only 2 sq metres at the moment - I assume I will need to cut 6 inches off the plastic door lining and then stick the sound deadening around the metal where the speakers will be going? |
Put it under the plastic, it will peel back.
