HKS Super Flow Vs K&N 57i fliter
Hi,
I have doen a few searches about the 2 products but can only find really old threads. I would really like a comparison if possible. PLease post if you have either filter (Or what ever induction kit/performance filter you are running) and let me know ur experience, good or bad!! Thank you. |
HKS are absolute cr*p for filtration. If it was me i would go with the K&N. I have had the K&N in a few cars with know trouble whatsoever.

Ok.
When you say for filtration, do you mean for performance? |
This is quite old know but may be of some help http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/
|
No for filtration, they let through alot of particles which will end up in engine failure. There were some independent tests done somewhere on line and iirc the Apexi fliter came out on top

Definitely go for apexi/k&n or at very least that design. I have used both of these in saloons and have an HKS hi flo on my wagon & its rubbish. HKS definitely relying on brand name to offload these. Be sure u need one anyway as i learned a good panel filter is suitable up to the early 300's :thumb:

350bhp plus to be honest, that seems to be the consensus around these parts, under 350bhp go panel filter and get a K&N, they are very good.

HKS is a piece of Crap... the K&N are good... but you have to look out because they are oiled... the sometimes damage the MAF
I would take an APEXi ... they are the BEST ! |
