Hope that nobody was hurt.. :( Was it a high-speed impact? Dan PS I know that the car's fugly, but wasn't that a bit drastic?? ;) Edited to say that no offence was intented :) [Edited by ScoobyDoo555 - 1/29/2002 3:37:44 PM] |
Ow!! I bet that hurt....
As a MY01 driver, I resent you boys calling the new shape ugly....I actually think it's more purposeful than the older shape which is starting to look dated. I think Subaru have cottoned on though, 'cos the STi is definitely bettr styled than the WRX http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...threadid=68085 How fast were you going 'MY01's don't fly'? (Not a very catchy tag, you might want to change it.....);) As you're out in 'Stralia, were you in the middle of nowhere or was this in relative civilisation? (You didn't have to eat your girlfriend or anything did you?...):D Tell us! Tell us! we need to know!!! :D:D:D:D |
Yeah, I know Fat/Ugly, but its a bit of a Nsw (australia) wrx joke.. anyway they ae a bit heavier, we are having all soughts of brake problems in track racing in nsw, all that extra weight (especially when they are liberated with a few extra KW's) is causing major brake problems..
those fat/ugly my01's is a comment I get all the time. or nice toyota corolla. Oh well.. came round a corner and a Dick(tm) was in the middle of the road, I ran wide, into gravel, abs etc etc,m understeered into the ditch, oh well. (and I had gotten rid of most of the understeer with springs, swaybars, etc etc etc).. it was out of town, but not that far, i wasnt ALONE in the wilderness with nothing but a mars bar and a soccer team to feed me :).. no one was hurt, though airbags feel like someone hiting you with a pillow as hard as they can !!! its being fixed, insurance is covering it., I should have it back in 4 weeks, just in time for the Australian f1GP!!!! thanks Andrew. more pics at http://members.optushome.com.au/xmy01x/bent/ |
Andrew S,
Hmmm, looks nastier the second time I have seen it, Do I hear the words STi possibly? Good to see another aussie on the Scoobynet site :) Stuart Gillies T-rex |
love to have an STI in my driveway BUT
insurance company is fixing it (the car) seems that the MY01 is built like a small S-house out the back.. most of the damage is from hitting the ground, pushed the front UP, not in, the car started after the impact, and its only minor front cross memeber and front sub frame damage (so they say) its being fixed now. I should have it back in 4 weeks. Hopefully.. nut we might trade it in pretty quick for a STI!!!! the number plate is good its an X- MY01!!!! |
They fly fine, it's the trees and landing areas that are the problem.
Glad no-one was hurt. :) |
At least the airbags worked :D
