I doubt you will beat it by much

mozzaITA 22 April 2008 09:38 PM

Really - seems alot to me even more as i dont get any time to use the car these days :-(

My V4 Type R including all mods was £550 f/c and im 35 so you being 31 i think would justify the increased premium :D

27 5 years ncb and a version 5 typeR with mods is 780 for me

You have my sympathy.

I am in the process of getting quotes at the moment for my V4 Type R. Im 30, 6 points, low annual mileage and owned it 9 years (mainly on a fleet policy). I am getting quotes of around £650ish.

Have you tried moneysupermarket.com? There seem to be some decent quotes on there when I tried it.

Try A-Plan.

I am 28 with a V4 type R and am paying £660.

If you've owned the car for over a year Keith Michaels might be able to help

Make sure you ask for me though (Gary) :thumb:

GOT it down to £685.00 with same company.

Basicall left off the commuting to work and limited the millage to 4000 per year.

Is this a good deal guys? Shame i couldnt insure my 25 yr old brother as for that car is over 30's only wiv them. :-(

JK99 26 April 2008 08:54 AM

Sounds like it's still a bit high with very limited miles and no commuting.
My car is insured for commuting and up to 12k a year.

I couldn't get my car insured with Direct line because of the 25y/o thing. Elephant were cool with it tho.

Due again later in the year so i'll give Gary a phone.
