Funkii Munkii 20 April 2008 11:52 AM

In the UK yes.

Maybe an 80Gb coming out later in the year.

Yep, there used to be a 60Gb version available that was backward compatible with the PS2 but they stopped making them

Fortunately I got one before they stopped production :norty:

Hard drive is easily replaced if you want a bigger one though and it doesn't affect the warranty

Been looking at doing this myself - the drive has to be SATA - 5400rpm rather than 7200rpm and needs to have a min of 8mb buffer - 320gb should only be around £80.

There was a thread on here recently about someone doing this, they said it was easy and (as yet) no problems. It even talks about it in the manual you get with the PS3, so obviously Sony are expecting people to do it and it doesn't affect warranty (MS take note!)
