CS is great if you have a connection to match the game.

DOD is not so connection dependant, I am happy to run around on my 56K usually ending up high up the score board. Shame there are not more maps available on line.

Have you tried Sturmbot

http://www.sturmbot.friendsofp.net/index.shtml

Reasonable bot program for poor connection times and practicing new maps.

You still get a few cheats playing but far less than CS.

C U online

Its basically a Bot program for DOD. I run a 56K modem and on occasions suffer loads of lag making online gaming impossible.
To play offline, download and install the bot program, then create a LAN game, as long as you have downloaded the way-points you can play against 7 other players all controlled by the computer. You can change their skill levels to suit your game play.

Check out the web site, it will tell you all the info.

Cheers

Neal
