Calling wagon owners with 8x18"
Hi,
I have been told by someone in prodrive that the 8x18" sometimes rub in the back of some wagons (not all though ) that's why they are using the 7.5x18" GT1 wheel in the GB270. What are your experiences with 8x18"? Do you rub using standard springs? Also what would be the best offset to use? The car is a 2007 WRX wagon and the OE wheels are 7x17" ET55 I believe. Cheers :) |
Hi i have an 04 with 18x8 and they do rub sometimes when loaded, this is with Eibach springs. When it was new on stock spring i think it was actualy more noticable. Hope this helps.

As per the advert and the PM I had STi Shocks with Eibachs and no problems at all with rubbing. This may have been because the struts being stiffer. I'll get the ARB info to you soonest. |
Hi im running 225/40/18 pzero's. Also forgot to say i have whiteline arb's fitted, but these were after the Eibach springs so i guess they helped more. Also running about 1.5neg camber on the rear to.

Hi mate, my wife's wagon is lowered on Eibach Springs and runs Kei Fin 7 on 225/40/18 Goodyears. On full load you can get a minor amount of rubbing (strangely only on the drivers side wheel). I was told when replacing the tyres get 215/35/18 and the problem should be solved!!

HTH Mike Since you already rub with 7.5x18" (although minimal as you say) I don't think I would want to go 18". |
