WRX PPP vs Ferrari F350
 

On my way home from work last night I passed a Ferrari F350 cruising in the slow lane.

A little bit later I was on a quiet stretch of road and noticed he was still behind me, and it looked like he'd sped up a bit. So, I thought I'd slow down to get a better look. So there I am, cruising along at 50 in the middle lane and he pulls up on my left in the slow lane. I hear him blip his throttle and change down, and so I do the same (into third).

We wait for a couple of moments and then I decide, what the hell, I'll give it a go! Pedal to the metal and, to my surprise and absolute joy I'm actually edging ahead of him! It certainly sounds and looks like he's giving it all he can, and he can't even get past me. He must feel preeeeeeeetty stupid right about now.

Then he accelerated.

Dear GOD! I've never, ever, ever seen anything move like that. Before I knew what was happening he'd not only undertaken me, but he was now about quarter of a mile in the distance! :eek2:

Absolutely phenomenal. Never been up against anything like that before, and I simply can't even begin to imagine how fast it must feel to drive. He quite literally left me standing.

Before people start flaming me for speeding, don't worry, I didn't. I gave up pretty quickly when I saw how hard he owned me.

What the hell is a Ferrari 350????;) :D

Only kidding i know what you mean, it happened to me once with an RS6 and better a SL55 Brabus Merc - that was awesome, then my engine went pop:(

Had the same happen to me with a Maserati..... neck and neck in fourth- then I changed into fifth and he was like Doc Brown !!!! GONE !

Happened to me with a lupo GTI......I was only in the rover 100 with the dogs though :lol1:

Had the same with a lamborghini gallardo. Was keeping up for a while until I saw him put his sandwich on the passenger seat and then he was gone. :lol1:

Had a play with an audi r8, he got a suprise. :D

ya meant, 360 dindn't ya...

funny; i once has a tangle with one, and by the end of the slip road he was 30 car lengths behind. I slowed and he came past me like a B£$$£%$... should have seen the look on the his GF face when they realised it wasn't as quick as they thought! was in the Atom though... ;-) Pretty much everything went backwards in that... :-) had my scooby WYIOC badge on so at least one bit of the car had Scooby on it... hehe!
