Well done with your purchase :)

The shortcut kid 29 March 2008 07:13 PM

never mind the first photo its the last one thats worrying!

The shortcut kid 29 March 2008 07:17 PM

wheels, tyres, dump valve and 3" exhaust system first on the list, not picking it up for 2 weeks and already ordering bits....oooppsss!

BRI4N 29 March 2008 07:20 PM

Looks great John.:thumb:

frayz 29 March 2008 07:31 PM

Really liking that mate. Deffo gets the :thumb: from me.

Wish you well with it :)

The shortcut kid 29 March 2008 07:38 PM

was well chuffed when i found it mate, had one previous owner and only done 58000 miles, on an L-reg! everything is pretty much bog standard, little bit of work done in the engine bay and facelift front end but otherwise untouched! which is just what i was looking for. better rack up some hefty overtime at work, can see me spending a lot of cash in the near future

wozzaa 29 March 2008 07:42 PM

Looks really nice in the flesh, underneath is really clean, been inside the showroom for ages, no drips or puddles, started it up and sounded quiet, no smoking and no leaks from anywhere I could see.
Checked the front end to make sure it hadn't been face lifted due to a crash etc.. everything looked spot on, all original slam panel, inner wings and arches, the back end was the same, no creases in the spare wheel well underneath, nothing wrong with the inside of the boot or arches etc.. all door, boot and bonnet shuts were fine too :thumb:

Seems to have an Apexi AVC-R in the ashtray and a turbo-timer under the dash.

Totally original other than the front end and the above.

It's obviously had a decat at some point, hence the Zigeon (Spelling) sticker above the tail pipe, but under the bonnet it looks standard other than STI embosed top and bottom radiator hoses.

I like the non-spoiler boot, makes it look different and really nice IMO but gay boy Gummer wants a spoiler...............CHAV!!!! :lol1:

We have found some cheaper ones on PistonHeads and the Type-RA website but they all seem to have more milage and most have a few problems with them such as whiney diffs/gearboxes/turbos, dents, scratches etc... test drive depending, this one seems really nice :notworthy

Good luck Gayboy, and good choice :thumb:

:nono::nono::nono::nono:

You told me it was true after you 2 spent that romantic weekend in Paris :luvlove::luvlove::luvlove:

Anyway, back on topic. When do you pick the RA up?

The shortcut kid 30 March 2008 10:33 AM

in a couple of weeks, gives them a chance to get the last bits sorted on the car i.e tax, plates, mot, and gives me a chance to sort out insurance and the golf tractor. don't know wether to take it to its firt meet as it is or get new wheels ordered and fitted for when i pick it up
