Cars ready for paint - what Colour though?

im thinking..

Diamond white?

Im going for a 100% sleeper look. with black plastic bumper's, and no spoiler.

Not interested in WR Blue, Black, or any other standard subaru colour.

Any idea's would be much appreciated.

Thanks

matt everything . even the wheels

beef-on-the-bone 27 March 2008 10:35 PM

steel wheels..........

superscoobx 27 March 2008 11:44 PM

you lot are starting to think like me!

Black plastic bumper's, Sport Bonnet, Black FMIC with black hose's.

I cant get any 17" steel wheels or i would get some 100%

It is actually a gx though as standard. But now its had a full sti 8 conversion!

Matt white is what colour it is at min, with the primer.

I even thought about a burgandy colour! lol

Going to have a look at colours tomorrow.

if its really going to be a sleeper you need to keep it a factory colour...in which case I'd go for an anonymous blue or maybe silver because everyone and their uncle has a blue car.

16" VW steelies fit btw...I was going to go down this route but am too much of a tart :D:D

now thats cool :smug:
just out of interest wouldn't a matte effect like that be a real PITA to wash? although i 'spose no polish/wax is needed :thumb: bonus.

madisonmonkey 28 March 2008 03:52 PM

The finish should be just as smooth as regular paint. It's just that the clear coat is flat not shiny. At least thats the way I understand it.
Have a search on NASIOC for more details :)

aaah i getcha :thumb:
still a bad@ss colour and effect.

superscoobx 28 March 2008 05:13 PM

i need 17"'s though to clear the brakes and for my Potenza's.

Any VW 17" steelies though would be an option.

Older ones perhap's.

Battleship Grey it is.

HMS Impreza!

BTW its now a 2dr bugeye!

one of the reasons I binned the sleeper idea...no steelies to fit over the brakes. You can get steel wheels made up but I looked into that and it was uber costly.
