Just had a go.....good stuff and need to build up the layers to remove the actualy dent out of the bonnet. But very happy with the first stage.

As everyone else has said, less is better, and a hell of a lot easier to remove :)

the results with this look superb. far better than i normally get with a touch in, hair dryer, 3000 grit wet and dry and a porter cable.

Mine came in the post last week, was reading the destructions and was wondering what rubbing alcohol was and where to get it?

Methylated spirit in the UK.

I thought Meths left a slight layer on whatever it was put on...Isopropyl alcohol would be better as it evaporates cleanly.

It would certainly go better in your petrol tank :D

It might do yes, you might be able to use a strong tar remover or the like. Just something thats going to get the gunk out of the chips so the paint can stick.

Usually a couple of days once youve ordered, really quick

Forgive any ignorance on my part but is this product any good for light scratches or is it mainly for stone chips/roadrash?

Not great for scratches tbh.

Yep, true. Although I have noticed that it can add some colour to the primer and slightly hide them....but not a complete solution.

Jonnys3 07 July 2008 12:19 PM

What would you guys suggest for scratches?

Hmm 2 really...

1 - Try and load up with Dr Colorchip or touch up paint and then wet sand the whole area flat again
2 - Proper respray...i.e. Chipsaway or a local painter...

It's quite hard with Dr Colorchip to totally remove the 'dent' caused by a stonechip.
