At 19 psi boost I consider that my rising EGT (670 > 720) is an indication that I am nearing the limit of the standard fuel systems flow capability.

I am of the opinion that I can safely run more boost after install of water injection, as long as I continue to supply adequate fueling.

Which fuel pump is recommended for a 95 WRX RA TD05 and would the AFR on open loop be changed due to the pump change ?

My understanding is that an uprated pump will increase system flow capability but the pressure at the injector fuel rail should stay the same as before, as it is controlled by the fuel pressure regulator.

Am I correct in saying that the bigger pump will just allow the ECU to increase the IDC without loss of system pressure ? hence maintaining a better flow through the injector.

A recent thread claimed that a fuel remap was required ?

I am the same curious as you, the fuel pump seems to be a cheap mod in order to protect your engine.

Injector duty cycle reduces quite a lot, when fitting the high flow pump in a high power (+280 BHP) Sub.

Due to the less powerfull std. pump the fuel pressure drops at high flow rates. The uprated pump can keep the pressure and you have a larger safety margin.

I think it´s a must on high power cars. You can do without it, but the injector duty cycle will be very high without it.

Just to clarify, when you say the uprated pump will reduce injector duty, do you mean on a manually mapped car ie Link etc.

As far as I'm aware the ECU does not know what the fuel pressure runs at therefore it will adjust ID according to MAF signal.

Is this correct ?
