Best way to convert a .Avi file into files to burn onto a dvd ?

Basically ive got a .Avi file which is 700MB and i want to put it onto dvd, i know i need something to convert the file so it produces a Video_TS folder and break the original filefile into .VOB .BUP and .IFO etc.

I`m not an expert with this sort of thing, i can do basic burning etc. I had a look on google and seen this software, does anyone rate it and if not can you suggest anything else ?

If your dvd player is fairly new, it might play the file, it's becoming much more common.

Yep use it all the time for that sort of work. But I have had on occassion some of the Avi's I have converted having the odd lipsink issues. But 99% of the time it's done the job for me.

By the way the software will convert and do the burning straight after for you. Also bare in mind that the software is defaulted to removing the DVD folder off your harddrive after converting the .avi file. SO if you want to keep it, then make sure you un-tick that feature.

Thanks for the replies and advice, i downloaded ConvertXtoDVD last night and it worked perfectly, yeh it was great that it burned the conversion for you as well. I noticed that option where it removes the files after burning, i unticked it as you never know when you may need them again. Its nice, easy to use software.
