E85 Fuel
Anyone running there scoob on E85 fuel from Morrisons? If so anyone noticed any difference in performance or fuel economy?
|
Just to make sure - I hope you know, that you need few modifications to run E85? Like bigger injectors, uprated fuel pump, remap?
|
is this available from the pumps??
not likely to be full E85 |
Unless the manufacturer says so it is not safe to run on ethanol mix I think.

I'd say 5-10-15% of ethanol should definitely be no problem, as Subaru uses usually pretty rich mixture (this probably can differ on some already tuned cars), rich enough to deal with additional oxygene from ethanol.
I drive on mix of about 10-15% ethanol everyday without any issues to part solve problem of low octane fuel in Ireland. NASIOC guys tried even more, up to 30% - but this can make fuel going too lean - going to higher percentage without modification is not suggested. Anyway - if anyone wants to get more advantage with ethanol mixtures, he/she should think about a remap (definitely needed to run on e85). Cheers Jacek |
Anyone know what afr to run on E85, thought about trying it as there are several garages around now that are selling it.

I take it E85 = ethanol/85% petrol..?
