Ripping DVDs

Any recomendations for software to rip downloaded DVDs (Avi Mpeg4 etc etc) so they will play on normal DVD players :wonder:

I've had a trial version of Nero 8 which worked well but i'm unwilling to pay £50 for the full version.

Free downloads would be even better :thumb:

vso convertx to dvd is very good. Best bet though is to buy a cheap dvd player which plays divx and xvids. saves a lot of time and hassle.

yep as above, menas you get more films per disc and they are cheap enough now, even ones that upscale as well

Other than that, you could revert to a nero 7 package that can be found

Just download nero from a similar location to where you're downloading the DVDs. :)

if you go the nero option though, apparently there are no full cracks for nero 8 yet, it will expire (the nerovision part anyway) so you are allegedly better of with version 7 :thumb:
