Nintendo DS Battery Life?...

Hi brainy computer people! :notworthy I'd just like to know how long the batteries last for on a DS. I'm off to South Africa in July and would like to know how long I can expect to keep myself busy for until I then have to endure the onboard chick flicks! :norty: Cheers chaps and chapesses. :)

The battery will last fifteen to nineteen hours on the lowest brightness setting and five to eight hours on the highest brightness setting (both are dependent on the type of game activity).

Cheers Dunk, thank you kindly! :thumb:

Mine doesn't last that long ... probably 6-7 hours. I do have two special cartridges fitted that perhaps reduces battery life.

mine probably lasts 8 hours. I occassionally use a rumble pack, or the R4 cartridge.

You can buy a higher capacity battery and fit that for extended battery life, or I think there are external battery packs available.

My orignal DS lasts about 8 hours and the other halfs DS Lite lasts about 12.

Plane films aren't that bad. Hitman and 30 Days of Night are what I watched last week on a Virgin plane coming back from the US.
