Power Steering pump
my power steering pump needs replacing, should I go for a recon one ? or a new one ? as there is allot of price difference, I am swaying for a new one !but not sure any thoughts or problems on recon one ?

Im sure a recon unit would be fine TBH. Most items from motor factors are recon anyway.

Is there a reason for wanting another pump?
If it's just leaking from the resevoir then it's just an Oring that needs replacing |
What car have you got ?
The reason I ask, is that I have a bugeye one, which I only changed because of the CDF pulleys were easier to fit to a Blobeye pump, and has only covered approx 39,000 miles. |
Well done guys. :notworthy
The ESC at their best with 3 different options that can all help the man out. And one answer after only 3 minutes. Get some work done Steve. :thumb: Mark ;) Flat Eric is eating Cadburys mini eggs |

Thanks for the advice, XS in boreham told me it was my pump that had broken on my classic, i think that i will end up going for a recon one as the price of a new one is £600 fitted

I still wouldn't rule out a good used pump nev, go along to Nevendon Salvage on the OLD A130, ask if you can have a gander around their yard, whenever I go, I always seem to leave with something worthwhile, even if it is not what I went in for. :)
