Todays gaff
 
Completed the engine swop on the girlfriends Clio, drained whats left of the oil in the replacement engine. renewed filters etc.

Started topping up with nice new oil, regularly checking dipstick, thought to myself this takes a lot of oil to regester on it.

Looked underneath and yep, I left the sump plug off :o


£25 later A hard lesson learnt :D

Reminds me of a mate topping up the oil in his punto gearbox.

"Hmmmm....this is taking quite a lot....." he says, as we look over to him he's only gone and filled up the bell housing through the wrong hole!! Tit!:lol1:

I changed an engine in my old 309gti,turning the engine over to prime the new piper cam,but no oil? Looked under the car,big oil slick,i'd left the oil filter off!!:brickwall
