aye, because how many escort cosworths were made in that mark, compred to impreza turbo's?

hmmmm maybe thats why evo's hold their value better too. because....

its not as quick as you think the camera car didnt put up much of a chase thats all, think he lifted off mid way through 2nd or 3rd and the cossie pulled away then

Yeah, just watched it again. Can really tell by the speed that the chasing pack go hammering past.

DaveBeck 08 March 2008 03:33 PM

believe thats andy pugh filming that. think ive seen it on the surrey scoobies site before. may be wrong. looks fun though.
i love cossies, always have. if i could afford one i would get one

hux309 08 March 2008 03:55 PM

I believe that was surrey scoobs coming back from a meet, bet the cossie driver got a fright. :D

DarrenSTI 08 March 2008 04:06 PM

Thats a cool vid, love the Escort Cossie, probably would have got one if I were older when they were newer.

All thoses Scoobys sounded fantastic as they roared past the camera car, as said bet the cossie driver had a shock when he looked in the mirror and saw that lot bearing down on him:lol1:

WRX-DAN 08 March 2008 04:29 PM

the first scoobs to overtake sounds awesome!

scooby_will 08 March 2008 04:34 PM

can u imagine if he had looked in the rear view and saw all them, he must of thought s**t what did i do i only raced one arrghhhh

vf35scoob 08 March 2008 06:38 PM

ha ha brilliant

moff1888 08 March 2008 06:43 PM

I think the cossie knew the rest, after reading the comments on youtube the cossie driver had previously had a scooby.

Nice noises from the chasing herd though.

gavimpreza9 08 March 2008 06:58 PM

it was only a small turbo escort cosworth though, the least tuneable cossie of all so its not exactly suprising that a 10 year newer impreza sti is faster. They always will be better than the impreza. Everybody loves a cossie

I certainly do gav...if I didnt mind spendin the cash maintaining a cosworth I would have one in a sec. A lot more of a handfull than a scoob, but a lot more fun for this reason! Never driven an escort, but have driven a 4wd saph with roughly 330bhp...brutal acceleration compared to scoobs with similar power. Subaru's probably just as quick but smoother power delivery. Any opinions/experiences guys??

Cossie's have a status and following going further back than the scooby, at least in the UK.

Technically the scooby may be superior (same year etc) but for an out and out four pot turbo car you can't beat the cossies. I am still hankering for a rwd Saphire Cossie but good one's are hard to find and cheaper one's need TLC which I don't have time or space to get right.

For me the ultimate british muscle car has to be the 3 Door Ford Cosworth RS500 in White with split BBS rims :D

Cossie's are old technology in comparison to a scooby but I think that's part of the appeal, easy car's to learn and work with and the cossie four pot engine has a serious reputation that you can't argue with however in comparison to my mates 89 cossie, I have a trouble free time. He is in and out of his workshop on a regular basis but that's probably more to do with the way he drives the car ;)

If you had been looking a bit sooner you would have spotted a genuine 25,000 mile 4wd that my uncle sold fairly recently. Owned for the last 8 or so years by him and totally standard sitting in the garage apart from maybe the odd sunday every few months. Only upgraded to the above mentioned 330bhp a few months before selling!

rabskyline 08 March 2008 11:24 PM

did they catch him and kick the **** out of him?? reminds me of a bunch of guys chasing some thief on holiday in corfu ! :lol1: and also that cartoon..."catch the pidgeon " :D

F1 CJE UK 09 March 2008 12:12 AM

Delete this post immediately or you will end up making Frazy change his mind again and look into selling up and moving back to a Cossie …

That vid really makes me want to go to a Scooby meet just to drive in convoy and experience the sound of multiple Scooby’s :notworthy

Mikkel 09 March 2008 12:29 AM
