remap from xtreme scoobies

I have tried to booked my wrx 2003 into xtreme scoobies for a remap. I currently have h&s decat centre and ss back box. Sounds fantastic! Was considering the sports cat downpipe and uppipe but though the best step for now was ecutek. It might be enough for me without the other mods. Nolsey at xtreme said I would have to wait until 4 people wanted a remap because the guy has to come down from Cheshire. Would anybody be interested in the essex area?

I had the same dilema:rolleyes: Why wait ? try Mocom Racing for Remaps on demand :thumb:

He (Zak) is mapping my third scooby next week and is quite simply awesome. I had the same car as you and had some great results with a H&S Sports cat, decat Uppipe, rear centre decat, straight centre and H&S Jap Back Box. View my scooby.

Zak supplies H&S if thats what you want, or you can go to Ian at H&S direct he often fits at the prices he quotes, although the uppipe and down pipe is best left to the mapper.

Mocom remaps are superb value at £450 :norty: Good job as I am on my third Mocom mapped scooby:D :luvlove:

thanks for your reply. is that the same as an ecotek remap? sorry to sound stupid but im new to this.

scoobyDAZZA 05 March 2008 09:56 PM

ecutek you mean , yes it is, TEK 3 is what you'll be having

have you tried ZEN in northampton ish
or simon, aka jollygreenmonster who aint far from you and does travel ;)

Different software is all IIRC. No licenses involved/to pay for as with Ecutek, so the cost is less :luxhello: From memory (had mine done in NOV 06), for the cost of the Ecutek you could probably upgrade the plugs, filter and fuel pump with the Mocom remap for a similar price:thumb:

ok thanks yes i meant ecutek, sorry. the "jolly green monster".:lol1: how can i contact him? i just though the ecutek would be worth while if i wasn't satisfied at a later date. and had to get another remap with extra bits fitted.

That's one of the downsides to lacking the skills in house and having to sub-contract work out, it can be a waiting game and post map support is minimal. I'd suggest finding someone local to you who can provide ongoing support, and advice, ensuring you get the very best from your pride and joy :thumb:

I use extreme all the time for servicing etc... and they are a lovely bunch. As Zak says, though, they don't have an in house mapper. They do, however, use Pat Hereborne, who is very well regarded on here, and IIRC they get a GB rate on Ecutek remaps, so that's a few quid saved.

If you need it done now, I'd either go and see Zak, or if you don't want to travel, or dont like the idea of open source software for whatever reason, give Jolly Green Monster a call. I'm having dealings with him at the moment and he is a very nice, helpful guy! Apparently, a pretty damn good mapper too! :)

Thanks for the advice everybody. I phoned simon (aka jolly green monster) today and have got the car booked in for the 25th march.:thumb: He's only in Kent which is not far from me. For reference he told me he will now only remap using ecutek software due to problems with other software. Should expect 265hp and torque increase so I'm be:luxhello:

Used Zak for mapping mine on several occasions and could'nt of wished for more, and he's a lot closer to Chelsford than Kent
