unless you go through an anonymous proxy server which doesn't log traffic it's pretty damn impossible.

Your best bet is to hack into a couple of machines and do whatever you need to do from them.

I use hide-ip downloaded from mininova

BlkKnight 05 March 2008 03:27 PM

Doesn't work as your ISP are logging traffic.

I suppose it depends how well hidden you want to be / how naughty you are.

Awaits knock on door.......

If you need to be really secure, you need to hack into at least two computers, so the chain would be:

Your PC > Hacked PC1 > Hacked PC2 > .... > Target destination

As long as you remove all traces from the PC's it'll be very hard to trace.

Thanks for the quick responses people, :notworthy , Blk is onto what i want to do, but for my 'project' it might not be worth the bother!

As an after thought, what about finding an unsecured network and using that?, my brothers neighbours have a wifi signal i can pick up with my laptop!:nono:

BlkKnight 05 March 2008 03:48 PM

It's doable.

Just be aware that depending on the severity of the crime, the old bill might question those within range. Hope you've a laptop ;)

The "Unsecured network" is a standard defence for people being accused of accessing dodgy material on line - "wasn't me gov, someone else was using my wireless". Pretty sure this loophole has been closed now (although the punishment for having an open network which you are responsible for is less. . . )

Were on the same wavelength here, brother has a desktop which, worst case scenario, they could have the hard drive to, there would obviously be nothing on there, it doesnt even have a wifi card! Same goes for my nice gaming desktop! Laptops are handy arent they:lol1: :thumb:

Do it from the Library ...

SwissTony 05 March 2008 04:13 PM

do it in the library, just behind the reference section..big books :thumb:

BlkKnight 05 March 2008 04:15 PM

The network restrictions a library imposes might be a problem
