Torque of the Devil

Anyone been on their RR ? or any opinions/worries about them, Thinking of taking my car up there to see what its making, but am aware some RR's don't have the best reputaion

Torque of the Devil

I have been there before but there seemed to be complaints about cars not getting the right figures ?? I made over 100bhp more than a type 25 as it only made 320 bhp :D

Thanks Steve, ihave done a few RR's on old remapped TT with varying results +/- 10-15 % in some cases, Iknow they can be a lottery,

Did the staff seem generally competant ?

i had my car mapped by chris todd at torque of the devil in november.
it made 358/311

about a month ago i was at surrey rolling road and made 362/318

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/b...Y2511/srun.jpg

now it was colder when i went to surrey rolling road so could explain the tiny difference. and it is tiny.

i think this proves just how accurate both rollers are:)

I have been on their rr twice. I have nothing to compare the RR to so cant comment on accuracy.

However the first time I went there I did not get the figures I expected and they went out of their way to help. Good set of lads.

Had mine on the rollers there a few months ago and was happy with the set up they have :)

Was hoping for more, but dont we all :thumb:

The staff were excellent :)

Went to a rolling road day there.

General consensus on the day was that the figures were quite conservative and probably therefore closer to the truth than most dyno's ;)

My GTR was about 20bhp down from a previous dyno run as was a friends Monte.

Seemed like a good bunch of guys :)

Just noticed (well according to postcode/local live) they seem to be literally a stone's throw from Power Engineering, they are not the same thing are they :Suspiciou

stevebt 05 March 2008 10:11 AM

I was told from people who weren't happy with their results that if they drove to power engineering the figures would be right :D

PantsUK 05 March 2008 10:15 AM

They are both Dyno dynamics rollers so should be similar, DD rollers are also meant to be the most accurate aren't they.

Saying that when I took mine it showed up under the the "book" power by 15bhp they reckoned that if I took it elsewhere (non DD) it would probably make the extra 15 up !!!

.... failing that just pump up the tires a bit !!
