fitting a Decat downpipe
right, i finally got round to taking the heat sheild off the turbo. What a night mare! took forever. anyway, i sprayed underneath the car with wd40 and i noticed that i have another O2 sensor (i think thats what it is).can anyone tell me What do i do with it as my decat doesnt have a second hole for it? im really confused :cuckoo: :freak3: can anyone shed any light on this.
here it is http://www.dorsetscoobys.co.uk/phpBB...d=52&mode=view any help appreciated cheers |
It's an egt sensor, basically lights up on your dash if your downpipe gets too hot, i wouldn't worry about it i just cut my wire off as the thing was corroded anyway.
It may cause the engine check light on some models but yours is early so id be surprised if it threw a cel. And yes the turbo heatsink is fun. :D |
Is the exhaust gas temp sensor also known as 'cat on fire', or is that a different sensor altogether?
