web site that tells you location of a mobile phone?

I believe the website let you type in a mobile number then it provided the location

I don't know the website, but I believe it only works if the owner of the mobile system has subscribed to the system, for obvious reasons.

There was a fake one that was mildly funny.

The 'real' ones charge you a fee and the mobile phone in question receives text message every so often to confirm they still wish to be located.

They are not accurate, they only locate the phone to a cell. This could give a radius of several miles.
