Fanbelt with a re-located Alternator ??
 
What fan belt will i require now that i have moved the Alternator over in order accomodate my soon to be fitted Reversed inlet manifold :wonder:

any help is greatly appreciated guys.

Last time I had to do this (on another car) I just got some string and wraped it round the pulleys and tied it off at the needed length.

Then I raided the shelf at my local motor factors to find a ribbed belt that was the correct length (using the string to compare).

Granted, a bit difficult these days as proper motor-factors that hold huge stock don't really exist anymore. :(

I have a bizzare set up on my land rover (dual alternator) and I use the same method. My local motor factors couldn't help, but halfords had a shelf full of belts and i found one that worked fine :)

Next step is the belt tensioner, what have all you front entry guys used to tension the belt, or could i simply tension is using the alternator ?
