Hi Fi - Naim Nait 1

Anyone know anything/have any opinions about this little amp?

i used to have a naim pre and power combo with my old linn lp12, many moons ago.

great build quality and sound.

i belive the naim nait 1 is an integrated amp, so will not benefit from the characteristics of other pre/power combos.

you will need efficient speakers like small missions or wharfdale diamonds to get the best out of it as its only around 10 watts per channel into 8 ohms.

better of with a NAD3020 if you can find one !!

Best bet is to ask on pink fish media

The Naim Nait 1 is an old buger now,but still good..A 3 is a better choice.

Worth about £100-£150 i guess..

That's a relief - had a bit of an ebay moment so have one on the way.
Seem to remember one from my childhood!

Better find some DIN interconnects now! :wonder: Do you really have to use NAIM speaker cable?

No!:)

Speaker connections are normal..

Its the Burndy cable interconnects that are unusual to naim kit..

Yeah, standard banana plug connections but I've read that you 'need' to use NAIM speaker cable.
