80mm aux headlights?

Hi All

Not for the Scoob, but my MX5 has an aftermarket bumper which allows for the fitting of 80mm spot lights. I want to use these, but ideally would like auxiliary headlights rather than straight forward driving lights. Is it legal to have a second set of dipped beams coming from the bumper? I realise I'd look like a moron with his fogs on, but at least I wouldn't be dazzling people and would be able to see where I'm going. Do dual beam lamps exist in such a small size, or am I stuck deciding between having additional dipped OR main beams?

Any good options for me for around the £100 mark? I've found these Cibies but there's no description of beam shape or bulb type, so I would guess they're straight forward driving lights. Other than that I've drawn a blank, but I suspect this must be an OE size for many cars, although I guess they usually come with fogs rather than anything useful.

Cheers.

The Cibie lamp you show is indeed a driving light.

I've not seen ANY light apart from the old Bi-Oscar that gave both main beam and dip, certainly NOT as small as 80mm, since it would HAVE to use an H4 bulb, which is quite large.

Hella make an interesting range of 90 mm lights in dip and mainbeam, with and without sidelights and in Halogen or HID.

They are the ones that were fitted to the P1.
