What is the best classic impreza

I am searching for a GC8, but what is the best choice?

Is it the type R, the P1 or ???, why and what year?

Thanks for your comment!!!

bighead 18 February 2008 11:50 AM

best 22b, best P1 for the road, type/RA for the track :)....if you want a 4 door the sti or type Ra

Marx Mcrae 18 February 2008 11:53 AM

Think this will cause a few arguments on here

black subaru 06 18 February 2008 11:55 AM

the sti2 555

GazTheHat 18 February 2008 12:10 PM

22b

Tidgy 18 February 2008 12:13 PM

22b is by far the best classic.

however if you havn't got the 20+ grand for a decent one then second best is prob version 6 sti type R

Agree with you on that mate :thumb:

Gear Head 18 February 2008 12:54 PM

Well Mr Subaru thought that the sti 3/4 was the best impreza, so there! :D

finalzero 18 February 2008 12:55 PM

STi Type RA without a doubt, point to point bullit machine. If you like your 3 doors then it has to be the Type R V-Limited but...

If I had the cash, it would have to be the 22B

winker 18 February 2008 03:58 PM

Hi i agree with mr purvis sti version 3 type r or ra.
superb.

Marx Mcrae 18 February 2008 04:01 PM

Bit of a stupid question really cos everyone will just say that there version is the best

Marx Mcrae 18 February 2008 04:03 PM

In all honesty the standard turbo 2000 is the best.
It holds it value better than any import,
Its still bloody quick,
Looks great.
RELIABLE (if standard)
dont need expensive remaps for our ****ty fuel,
cheaper to insure.
The list could go on and on

Marx Mcrae 18 February 2008 04:03 PM

I still prefere the 2 doors though

Borat_Drives_A_Scooby 18 February 2008 04:24 PM

22b

ice643 18 February 2008 05:00 PM

James Neill 18 February 2008 05:20 PM

mervil 18 February 2008 05:50 PM

Scoobymart 18 February 2008 06:59 PM

STI TYPE R WRC V/LTD v6:thumb:

New_scooby_04 18 February 2008 07:10 PM

The most sought after and prized classic scooby is, without a doubt, the 22b.

As for the best....matter of opinion! ;)

I've got a Turbo 2000 and don't really agree with u, no scoob holds its value but i would say a Type R holds its money better than a UK turbo.
Not really what i would call "bloody quick" either a standard Uk turbo isn't really any quicker than a Clio 182 or CTR. They are fairly reliable if standard and generally cheaper to insure though.

Best classic's IMHO:

22B
V5/6 Type R

samcowrx 18 February 2008 08:14 PM

stuh1981 18 February 2008 08:37 PM

juggers 18 February 2008 08:41 PM
