Scoobynetters - a plea

Here in the UK (where most of the posters in question hail from)

That raised bit where the pavement starts = a kerb
The expression of weight of a motor vehicle = Kerb weight
You damage an alloy by scraping it against the kerb stones

To curb anything is to exercise restraint (amongst other, similar, definitions)

Dunno why, but this one bugs me, sorry :D

(and yes, generally, I hate BBS pedants as much as the next person)

Another vote for bought and brought.

I have a feeling its a regional thing as no-one in this part of the country says brought.

We know better ;)

skoobidude 13 February 2008 07:48 PM

Can someone borrow me a new thread?
