will this exhaust set up pass MOT?
Will this exhaust set up pass MOT ??
Its on a 2003 wrx. its been remapped ( dont know if that makes a difference?) standard downpipe - 2nd cat removed - resonator pipe removed - afterburner rear silencer. also does the resonator pipe just act as a silencer or does it do anything to emissions?? Thanks for any helpful advice!:) |
If you have the std downpipe I'm fairly sure it will pass MOT, as even with hi-flo cat in the dp it will pass MOT according to manufacturers and of course the PPP for the sti.

Hi,
if it still has got the first cat fitted, Then it is a pretty safe bet to pass !!:luxhello: |
it will be fine with just the standard downpipe (you've also got a cat in the up-pipe, btw).
The resonator just lowers the noise a bit, nothing to do with emissions. |
Mine passes the MOT with the second cat removed, the only emissions the resonator affects are noise emissions!

My 2003 STi passed its MOT on Saturday with exactly the same set up, the tester told me it was no where near failing on emissions! :thumb:

mine passed with no cats and no resonator, depends where you take it ;)
