max power from 94 wrx import

As the title says really. What bhp/torque would i be able to get without having to worry bout my engine blowing everytime i go out.
It's a 94 wrx import. with 55,000 miles. regular services etc

If you are keeping everything standard internally (rods, pistons, heads, injectors, intercooler) then you can aim for around 290-300bhp with exhaust, induction kit and a remap.

ozzreid1964 07 February 2008 02:41 PM

iv'e got a 94 wrx
k/n panel filter
ninja sports cat /de/cat centre ninja 2 backbox
remap bob rawle
he said i got roughly 310 bhp
going back this weekend for it to be tweeked found intercooler gasket was leaking

osborne 07 February 2008 04:46 PM

i've got 260 at the wheels on low boost at the moment but it should be going upto 280bhp at the wheels soon.
It's underfueling at the 260 so i have the injectors and fuel pump to fit an map. Was just curious if this will be pushing my luck or will it be safe at that power.

If it'll be safe at that power, what would it be safe till bhp wise?

Dont wanna have to pay out for new internals just yet

myblackwrx 07 February 2008 05:49 PM

You're running about 320 at the fly then at that's pushing it and that's getting near the max of the standard turbo

What have you had done to your car to have 260 at the wheels?

Are you sure mate:Suspiciou

All so if you are running that sort of power (260ATW) why start the thread asking what you can get out of your car?

You would really know the answer from you tunner seeing you then said your going for 280bhp at the wheels soon:Whatever_

Another thing, You better start looking for a new gearbox soon as at that power yours is on its way out:eek:

for 260 atw
i've got Apexi power fc
apexi avcr
exceedy clutch and lightened flywheel
Miltek de-cat downpipe
decat centre pipe
janspeed manifold
front mount
air filter
think thats about it.

He said he dont like taking them past 320bhp at fly but i was curious what sort of power i would be ok with from other peoples points of view. some people seem to know alot an was curious of their points of view.

And the power was recoreded at Torque Developments on there Hug rolling road, andyone that knows the company will know it has a very very good reputation and i very much doubt there rolling roads out to much

I call AS Performance, they're closer to me. On my 3rd box in 3 years of ownership including the one that was in when I bought the car.

Hopefully this latest box will last longer, 754 casing.

Power etc, view my scooby.

To Osborne, are you still on 380cc injectors? Mine max out from about 5200rpm.
