What Oil Pressure should I have on a 94WRX
 

Im going to fit an oil pressure gauge to keep an eye on things and couldnt find anything on the search to find out the actual normal readings for a 94WRX import. :wonder:

If anybody could advise plus an easy fitting gauge apart from defi would be helpfull :thumb:

it varies slightly from engine to engine, the tighter they are the better pressure etc.

my 95 WRX,when HOT,

idles at 2 bar
cruises at 5 bar

COLD startup is 6 bar

Hot readings could be a little better,but its 13 yrs old,75k on it etc and prob been thrapped in japan !

some people have COLD startup at 7-8 Bar etc

Depends on the oil too. In these winter temperatures I had 7 bar cold startup on 15w50 Motul 300V, and now have 6 bar on 10w60 Millers CFS.

Hot idle is 2-and-a-bit, hot cruise is 6ish.
