remap question

im thinking of a remap.i have a sports cat, blitz nur spec r and a 57i kit.what figures should i expect?i have a warlbro fuel pump on its way too.my car is a 95 wrx.also where is the best place to take it and what are the costs?:wonder:

The ECU on your car cannot itself be remapped. You either need an aftermarket ecu (Apexi power FC for example) or you can have a ESL board which is fully mappable and costs less. Also lets you keep all the features of your oe ECU.

Pretty much covered in the above, more info at PolarPerformance
or Enduring Solutions Limited

Apexi PowerFc for early car are becoming harder to get even via Apexi dealer.. :(

Simtek or ESL daughter board two best value for money options.. depending on funds and future plans for the car.

assuming from your post you have original injectors and intercooler you are looking to run around 1.1bar which is in the region of 280~290bhp

tend to find the cars respond well to correct fuelling and are just much more useable and responsive to the throttle as well as better mpg

yes i have standard injectors and intercooler.would changing both make a difference?which injectors and intercooler should i upgrade to if the difference is worth doing?:wonder:

Go for a newage TMIC. It will need a little bit of modification to get your old dump valve on it. Some 440cc (yellow) injectors phase 1 and 1.5 will go straight in (<=MY98) or phase 2 with adaptors (MY99-01)

As Mike says.. also the 97/98 sti intercooler fits fairly easy..

there is limited room between bulk head and throttle body so cannot fit the sti8 intercooler etc..

Other option of course is front mount intercooler but 97~00 or newage wrx intercoolers should be relatively cheap.

Thanks
Simon
