Prodrive or Scoobyworld 'Racebox' Backbox?
My 2002 WRX currently has the PPP backbox fitted, Magnex de-resonated centre, PPP (STi) decat / sport CAT downpipe and equal length headers with built in decated up-pipe.
Will I notice any difference if I fit the 'Racebox' backbox I have just purchased ? The guys at Scoobyclinic didn't seem to rate the Prodrive backbox very highly, I presume from a power gain point of view ? I don't like the angled / JDM style pipes like the Ninja or Afterburner ( big fistf***ers as my rather blunt friend calls them) Just hoping that the 'Racebox' will be okay ? |
Hey,
I dont think you shall see all that much of a difference to be honest. I think the big difference will come after a ecu remap to advantage the pro drive back box. Im currently looking at a different exhaust system and im thinking of the after burner pack. Lets hope there are a few more replies as to what the best power gain is and through what exhausr system :):) |
I'm thinking of a remap and upgrade to a VF35 turbo when funds allow, I need to fit an uprated fuel pump first. Just wondering whether the std injectors will cope !

'Racebox' is a nice pipe by all accounts, would rather the TSL Grp N, the ScoobySport or the RCM box though. Power wise I wouldn't pin your hopes on much if anything.

Agree as above. Andy F didn't rate the Prodrive BB for power either (I have one) - a wee bit restrictive. They will be similar volume-wise.

But then, Prodrive are better than an STi or a standard WRX pipe.
