Hard wiring road angel and Tomtom
 

Hey guys, i have a road angel and tomtom in my Impreza all the while and have got fed up of the leads and the adaptor so am thinking of hard wiring them in.

Can i just take a feed off the back of the cigarette lighter and then put a fuse on both the power cords?

Cool so just take a feed off the cigarette lighter then! ill have a go in a little while!

Ok havent had a look yet but as I'm thinking of placing the Tomtom on the right hand side of the dash i may as well pick up a wire there. Does anyone know what fuse is for the cigarette lighter or any ignition switched fuse?

My road angel sits on the right hand side of the dash board and it is hardwired into the back of the cigarette lighter

probably a bit late now, BUT dont cut the plug off the tomtom lead! tomtoms run 5v IIRC you cut the plug off and wire it direct and you will fry it :eek:
